Dating back to the middle of the eighteenth century this is one of the oldest surviving pubs in Carlisle. Much of the structure is the original brickwork although it has been covered by modern rendering.
The Joiner’s Arms was badly affected by the flood of 2005. It is renowned for the legend of “Blue Lugs”. We’ll leave it to you to find out who, or what, that may be…
