Beehive – main

Posted · Add Comment

The Beehive, originally a farmhouse, was built in the late 1850s. Upon opening, the property was divided into smoke rooms and parlours. There was no bar and, in many ways, it was a typical early twentieth-century beer house. Under State Management it was rebuilt in a style the Scheme became renowned for.
